  1. The original album was much more ambiguous in its specific plot points than the stage musical and film versions. Originally, the song "Twenty-One" was called "" as the album version took place in a post-World War I setting. In the film, the story was changed to be post-World War II and the song was changed to "".
  2. Yes, Tommy is very s. Pinball competitions and psychedelic acid trips are not exactly hallmarks of today’s world. But of course, what makes the album so timeless is the music. From great.

  6. This is the album that propelled the Who into legend land, and Pete's first foray into concept albums. I listen to this vinyl lp and it takes me back to a time when there was just so much great music being made. The story of Tommy (which everyone knows) shows the Who becoming a great band, not just top ten 45 rpm act/5().
  7. The album was mostly composed by guitarist Pete Townshend, and is a rock opera that tells the story of Tommy Walker, a "deaf, dumb and blind" boy, including his Genre: Hard rock, rock.
